I hate to do it, but.... My seats are stand proof seats. It is a row by itself. At the budzone. Sec 102. Imagine standing at the rail in the budzone, except you have a seat too. Take ten steps from the bud zone doors and you're at my seat. This row runs around the entire stadium. At the top of the 100s or bottom of the 200s, depending how you look at it. The people in front of me are 4 feet lower , separated by a handrail. Behind me is 12 feet of walkway with seats behind 6 feet higher. I sits whens I wants, I stands whens I wants. Nobody is bothered. (Except by my loud mouth.)

We go through this every season.

I've got seats in the second row now, so it's kaind of a non-issue for me. The only times I've ever had a problem was when some jerk stood up and then opened his trenchcoat to purposely block our view. He only did it once as we "offered" to throw him over the railing if he did it again; and when some guy stood on his seat to keep my friend's son from watching the game. In all fairness to him, my friend's son was rooting for pittsburgh. But I was still obligated to talk to the guy.

As for the poster who said the handicapped section was the section to sit in, my sister who does sit in her wheel chair had to ask some guy to sit down. He yelled back at her that if she wanted to see she could stand up. My brother who sits in the companion seat told him that if she could stand up she would. He also said a few more choice words to him, and the guy finally sat down.

I try to be respectful of the elderly couple that sit behind me, but if I can't see, I stand, and if it's a great play I involuntarily jump to my feet. If it's an important defensive play I stand and bring the noise even more, and they understand that.

THAT! Would NOT happen in our section. There are some courtesies that are expected from opposing fans. That is not one of them. I may be in the minority, but I do not extend them ANY courtesies, especially the ones you describe. They are the enemy as much as the team playing our team.They are rooting for our team to lose. They are in our house. Not happening.[/quote]

This isn't a question of standing through the whole game.

This is about the idjits that sit behind you that whine and bellyache everytime that you do stand for the big play.

"Wish I could have seen that too."

"Wonder what the field looks like without people standing in my way everytime something happens."

I have to agree with the sentiment that if you want to sit down and watch the game without being inconvenienced by the 70,000 other people around you, you'd be better served just sitting on your couch for the non-blackouts.

Same goes for the people that incessantly complain about the heat, the cold, the toilet lines, the parking costs, the traffic, the beer prices, etc..

If the attraction is not worth the cost, time, or inconvenience to you, why would you go?

I think it must be an American thing that people think that they are entitled to be the only person in the whole place who matters at any given time. And that goes for the sedentary sitters as well as the full time standers.

I've never heard anything about a soccer fan complaining about paying through the nose to stand with 100,000+ screaming, flag-waiving drunk loons. All the while wondering if he's going to live through it.

I don't understand why people think that standing makes them a bigger and better fan? What are you doing that people sitting can't do? You can cheer and make just as much noise sitting, just be courteous, it's really not that big of a deal. Stand up and go crazy on big plays and such, but just go crazy sitting down the rest of the game. There's no difference.

Btw, I'd love to see the wave at Arrowhead now, haha.

I would like to see the KC Fans either choose to stand up the entire game outside the stadium and not go in for the first game (it would be preseason anyway) Or go in the stadium and stand in protest the entire game what would they do throw out the entire stadium?

I don't have a problem with people standing, with a couple exceptions......I've been to games where 2 or 3 fans of the opposing team purposely stand and act in a belligerent way in order to get under the skin of the Jaguar fans around them.

I would prefer to stand up the whole game. I'm more comfortable standing up than sitting down. I stand up when I watch Jaguar road games on TV at home.

But the thing is, in a civilized society, we have to be cognizant of the people around us. And that apparently means, don't stand up unless the person in front of you stands up. Or unless it's the 4th quarter and the game is on the line.

There are too many marginal fans that we need to come to the games. If you say it's a football game and by God you are going to stand up no matter what, you are probably driving some fans out of the stadium and back to their houses to watch the games.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is. Make a little sacrifice for the good of the franchise. Try to make things a little more enjoyable for the marginal fans that may not buy season tickets if you make things unpleasant for them.

I know, it sucks, but it's reality.

It's guaranteed the fans will stand up a lot longer now that they are emphasizing the point to stop. Arrowhead stadium is one of the purest fan stadiums in the league.
