The only year he was the featured back was when the Edge went down with an injury in the 6th game, Rhodes started the final 10 games, Averaged 4.7 yards per carry (4+ career), And had over 1,100 yards (Pretty good). He was never the featured back though he started more than the first half of the season in 06, But was still splitting huge amounts of time with Addai. Had the Colts been able to afford him last year, I think he would still be a Colt. He worked very well in the Colts scheme, And I believe he was better than a one playoff player who was simply overshadowed by James. As long as age hasn't caught up to him (29), He could still help a team similar to the way he helped the Colts.

That is exactly what my comment meant.

Also, you can take any decent back and put him beside/behind Manning and he will be a good productive back. Case in point, Rhodes...among others.
