I just think it's funny how now that "all the tapes" have been leaked to the media and there "allegedly" is no tapes on the Rams practice, the NFL is doing their ****dest to sweep it under the rug and act like nothing happened.

The best imo, is on Total Access tonight, they had Eisen and Rod Woodson breaking down some of the film released, and Woodson went on to say how he felt the tapes "couldnt really help anyway".

Meanwhile, the tapes only showing EVERYTHING an o.c. would need to know about the team's coverages and alignments, but yeah Rod, that's all nonsensical stuff when it comes to gameplanning right?

Way to toe the company line Rod. That show lost whatever credibility it had with me tonight when it comes to the journalism side of things.

BTW, maybe it's me, but Walsh looks like a guy that got a large sum of money and a visit from some "business associates", to keep his mouth shut and hand over whatever Super Bowl tapes he had, to be taken care of ;).

So you and your video crew WERE at the walk through with cameras, but nothing was shot, you just HAPPENED to make mental notes of their offensive alignments and special teams tricks? Riiiiiight.

Miami drafted Chad Henne to go along with John Beck and Josh McCown. Who do you think will start the season and who do you think willl play the most in 2008?

My guess is all three QB's will play a few games each. I think they try John Beck to start off, then go with McCown. When they are out of the playoffs by week 12, they then let Henne start and get some experience for next year.

I'm not a Dolphin fan, but they are another Florida team. Just thought it would be intersting to hear other board member's thoughts on this.

Now, try to be honest because there would be a faction of you who'd initially poo poo this idea, only to brother-in-law the guy if he ever did become a Jaguar.

I think I'd be for it, if we could get him for a 3rd rounder (or less) . He's a very good all around TE, for a team that doesn't have much proven/ reliable after TE1 (Lewis).

He's still young & would provide some energy on the offensive side of the ball.

Jacksonville Vs. Dallas

Jacksonville- obviously a homer pick, but I think we are ready to win the division this year with the new players we on the team. The secondary and the pass rush should be improved with the additions we made in free agency and the draft. Those improvements should help us slow down the Colts in head to head match ups and get deeper into the playoffs. If David Garrard can stay healthy and have a year close to last season, the Jags should get to the big dance.

Dallas- I hate to pick against the Giants, but I don't think they can pull off the Cinderella Act again. Dallas just has too many weapons and should be even better this year with Felix Jones pairing with Barber. I can't believe they didn't draft a WR, but T.O. still has good wheels and Jason Whitten should have another big year. If Tony Romo can keep his cool and settle down in the playoffs, Dallas should advance to the Super Bowl this year.

NFL.com has a Chad Johnson interview that was done today and after reading it, it only opened my eyes more to how passionate Chad is about this game and just wants to go to a team where he has a chance of winning a Super bowl before he retires, and I can't say I blame him, he deserves it.

So with that said and after reading that interview I'm back on my horse about getting Chad Johnson, and I think with the horrible draft year that this is for what we need, we should trade our 1st, 3rd, and a 3rd in 2009 + Matt Jones for Chad Johnson from the Bengals.

I mean honestly, who in this draft really intrigues you enough to use a first round and invest big money in that you truly believe is going to come in and be a difference maker in our team for this 08-09 Super bowl run?? Exactly nobody in that draft offers us that in the positions we need.

We resign Hayward, and after the draft and training camp there are going to be veteran DE/DTs available to pick up for less money to add depth.

This really seems like the logical choice for us, especially since Allen is off the board, and Miami wants way too much for Taylor.

Jason Taylor reportedly took a break from Dancing with the Stars to show up at the Dolphins' facility two weeks ago and Bill Parcells ignored him.

Taylor allegedly walked into a room where Parcells was watching tape. The Tuna glanced at Taylor, then went back to work. Parcells doesn't need to be Taylor's friend, but that's an odd way to treat the current face of the franchise.

Both teams have had great drafts. I know a lot people are scratching their heads at Atlanta trading up for Baker, but he was skyrocketing up boards the week before the draft. He'd have been a Top 10 pick last year if he came out and hurt his stock when he got injured last season.

DOLPHINS EYE HARVEY, GROVES, HENNE, FLACCO

The news that the Miami Dolphins are looking to get a mid- or late-first-round draft pick in a trade for defensive end Jason Taylor raises the obvious question: Who would the Dolphins draft with that pick?

According to Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel, the Dolphins are targeting four players: Florida defensive end Derrick Harvey, Auburn defensive end Quentin Groves, Michigan quarterback Chad Henne and Delaware quarterback Joe Flacco.

If the Dolphins were to trade Taylor for a first-round pick, they would likely use that pick on either Harvey or Groves, who would be penciled in to take Taylor’s place in the starting lineup.

Then, with their second-round pick, No. 32 overall, the Dolphins would presumably turn their attention to Henne or Flacco.

One way or another, it appears that Dolphins front office boss Bill Parcells didn’t mean it when he said, “The only way Jason Taylor won’t be playing for the Dolphins in 2008 is if he chooses to retire.”

The more I think about it, the more I'm willing to trade for him. It's just because of this draft class. This is one of the worst I've ever seen. Basically, if you are not in the market for a running back or #3 receiver, you are out of luck. I mean, players ranked 10-30 are all the same and most would've been second rounders last year. This just isn't the year to bank on the drafted players to come in and immediately make a big impact.

Maybe Jared Allen wasn't as big of a risk as we thought - read this!

How come this is just surfacing NOW?? Wouldn't this information have potentially influenced whether a team like Jacksonville into how serious they might have been in exploring trade options with KC for Allen? I'd think so...

Although there was a school of thought that the Miami Dolphins would be less inclined to trade defensive end Jason Taylor if the No. 1 overall pick was/is offensive tackle Jake Long, it appears that the Fins are shopping the 2006 NFL defensive player of the year, even though the pick was/is Long.

According to Clark Judge of CBSSports.com, the Dolphins are looking for a mid-to-late first-round pick for Taylor.

Judge cites as sources two unnamed teams whom the Dolphins contacted regarding the possible transaction. Presumably, the teams in question hold picks in the mid-to-late portion of round one.

Three possibilities that immediately come to mind are the Detroit Lions (No. 15), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (No. 20), and the Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 26). We probably should also include the Eagles (No. 19), since they have at least kicked the tires on every veteran player who is or might be on the market.

The Redskins at No. 21 are also a potential destination, since that first-round pick is again burning a hole in the dry-erase board. And they could use a solid pass rusher.

As we understand it, however, a move wouldn’t come until the team in question is on the clock. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, the team that gives up the pick for Taylor will want to see whom they could have if they keep the pick. Second, the Fins will want to eyeball whom they might be able to acquire with the pick that they pick up. Third, and also from the Dolphins’ perspective, there’s no reason to claim a spot on the board in advance, since that will serve only to give the teams drafting below Miami an opportunity to try to jump over the Fins in an effort to nab the guy whom the Tuna might be targeting.

So if a deal happens, it’s more likely that it will go down while the team that lands Twinkletoes is on the clock.

It’s no secret that Taylor wants out of Miami. He is being diplomatic about his desires, and he could retire if he’s not traded.

The Dolphins have been taking the position that he won’t be traded, presumably to increase his trade value. If it were well known that the Dolphins are ready to move on (and we think they are), there’s no way they’d get a first-rounder for a 33-year-old lineman.

They still might not manage it, especially since Taylor surely will want a new deal in a market that is still processing the impact of Jared Allen’s jaw-dropping deal in Minnesota.

The other factor to keep in mind here is that Taylor might be choosy about where he plays. With one eye already gazing on the Hollywood sign, Taylor surely wants to finish his football career with a team in a big market, or with a franchise that has a high national profile.

I don't see what the Jags could throw at MIA that would outbid any of the higher picks stated above and, to boot, Lito Shephard along side a higher pick (this was mentioned in the comments section of the page. We'll see ;)

There is no chance that Chad will come here based on the latest news out of the Bengals camp. Cincy just turned down the #21 pick from WAS and an '09 3rd rd pick, which based on Chad's and The Skins' season could turn into a first round pick.

So the 1st and 3rd or 1st 3rd and 5th would get it done needs to stop. As much as Chad would be an asset to this team as a WR, it just cannot possibly happen.
