i think he is going to be a real good player. I bet they use him differently the second time through the divisional games. I still cant believe how many teams missed on him. This guy is the best back in the class. He is alot better than DMac.

Here's the real question:

Can you imagine if they got him involved in the passing game [i]a la[/i] Brian Westbrook or Reggie Bush, instead of just handing off to him 15-20 times per game?

So far, the Titans have not changed their offense at all for CJ; at this point, they have him running plays that were originally designed for Lendale White and Eddie George. Effective, yes...but much of his versatility has yet to be tapped.

In college, his receiving numbers were better than Reggie Bush's receiving numbers when Bush won the Heisman. In the NFL, they're throwing it to him maybe once or twice a game.

In college, he averaged something like 30 yards per attempt as a kick returner; he has yet to return a kickoff in the NFL.

What we've seen thus far is barely scratching the surface.

One of the biggest bonehead moves I've ever made in fantasy football happened this year, and it was dropping Slaton. It wouldn't have happened if I weren't in dire straits at WR. I really wanted to see how he would have panned out. Even worse, the league is matchups and my opponent picked him up and started him against me that week. here is the funny thing. The Colts now have the worst backfield in the AFC south. that happened pretty quick. I think TN and Hou di well in this past draft. I still cant believe how good Johnson has looked in a part time role. Can you imagine of the gave to it him 25 times a game?

I gotta say, Slaton has impressed the heck out of me. In college, he struck me as just a "speed" guy.....great for college, but not much of a pro prospect.

But he's stepped up his game in a big way, and has turned into one hell of a runner. If he can keep his body intact, he might very well be the franchise RB the Texans have been looking for.

He is a way better HB than Bush. Its not even close. CJ hits the hole hard and doesn't dance around scared like Bush and he has more toughness and more speed. All that equates into a guy who is going to be special for a long time.

But Ryan would not have been as good with Miami as he is in Atlanta. In Atlanta he has Roddy White to throw to, Michael Turner running the ball and a pretty good O-line as it turns out. Chris Johnson would not have been #1 overall to Miami either. They have Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams.[/quote]

Maybe not right away but he's got what you want in a franchise QB.

On draft day, after the Titans drafted this guy, I posted a big "uh oh". I predicted he would have similar stats to what MJD had his rookie season. I knew he was going to be trouble for the Jags twice a year and for the rest of the NFL. He has rare speed, and he is tougher than I thought he was. He actually tries to hit defenders once in a while instead of avoiding contact.

Oh I drafted him as well and I defiantly haven't regretted it, but of course I am an ECU homer so there was no way I was going to let him go to another team. I knew he was going to be a stud and so far he is proving me out to be right.

I know he is a Titan but he will always be a Pirate and my boy is representing. Titans got a steal and I knew all these people who were saying he was a wasted pick didn't know what they were talking about. He is going to be the best of the rookie running backs in this class.
