But I remember the game in question. I was there. It was Rams at Colts, week 6, 2005 on MNF. Peyton threw 2 TD passes. One was 6 yards (to Reggie, to end an 86 yard drive) and one was 3 (to Marvin, to end a 38 yard drive). Edgerrin James had TD runs of 1, 8 and 1. Dominic Rhodes had a 1 yard TD run. When did the 93 yard TD happen? At the point of the exchange in the video, the Colts were trailing 17-0 at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. Wrong, I loved Mike as a Colt, I was sad he wasn't resigned, Cap casualty, My personal opinion is yes. He is still a hard nose football player, Probably always will be. He may have been bitter with the organization, I hope he wasn't bitter with the fans, The majority liked him, Just like the Jag fans do.

Mike Pete is a good LB & we Colts fans loved him when he was here. But we "smack" him because he DOES show signs of being bitter with some of his comments to the media every time twink week comes along. MP might have gotten over it lately, as evidenced by the fact that he hasn't done near as much woofing to the media about the colts the past couple years, but he WAS bitter for a while, at least. I think it was due to the comment made by Bill Polian when he made the decision to not re-sing MP....something to the effect of, "Mike Peterson is a very good LB, but for (the amount of money he's demanding) we would need him to be great".

MP was not a cap casualty. And there is no "offense first" mentality with the Colts. One reason that the Colts are good year in & year out is due largely to the fact that they have developed a discipline to let good players who are commanding more money than they are REALLY worth (Mike Pete, Cato June, Nick Harper, Marcus Pollard) go, while locking up truly special players to lucrative, long term deals (Manning, Harrison, Wayne, Clark, Freeney, Sanders, Saturday)

I remember reading how Peterson's play in the NE game with a broken hand was indicative of why the colts let him go. That was the example...the guy missed a tackle with a cast on his hand. It does seem that MP is the dart board for cheap shots from colt fan. It is smack...fair enough. It just needs reminding from time to time that MP was a cap casualty due to the philosophy of offense first. It took a while for the colts to actually get a LB that was at a MP level. We have that and a solid roster to boast. Any fan who isn't proud of going up to Pitts and winning is a fool. Any fan who watched our playoff game against the Pats and realized we were a TD catch away from competing to the end with them. (Northcutt's dropped ball.) Beating teams like SD and Pitts (twice @ Pitts) are something to hang your hat on and guage where your team is headed..

You're kidding yourself if you think I'm going to hold a pissing contest with a Colts fan.. you guys own the division - yeah, but we're on our way.

This is older than my grandmother. It was shown on the Colts' version America's Game and Jeff and Peyton were talking about it. Ever watch America's Game? Oh, wait, you probably haven't because it's a program devoted to SB champions. It's called being a leader and if you think this doesn't happen every Sunday on the sidelines of 32 teams then you know nothing about football. Maybe not a huge difference between [b]focused intensity[/b] (see Peyton and the Colts) and [b]chest-thumping[/b] (see Mike Pete, Spicer & the Jags)....but enough to get the Colts ownership of the division for 5 years running and some bling, while the Jags got...........??.......375?....and a "W" in the Wild Card round?
