I, for one, disliked "The Sideline" and almost never read it or posted on it. And I also hate to see it go. It served a useful purpose in helping keep stuff that might annoy me from overflowing onto the football boards. :D

As previously stated, it was a great place to go to escape the mindless name-calling so prevalent in the main forum threads as well as a great source of information about current events in our community. In short, it was a great place to go to and inspired comraderee amongst board members and those wanting to learn more about our great city...... and you want to do away with it? BRILLIANT!!

And it's horribly broke, and it needs fixing. Replying to a post in a popular thread normally results in you quoting the wrong person. There are security holes you could drive a truck through. This board software is [b]horrible[/b], and it's needed replacing since day one.

I personally never understood why everyone acts like The Mad Dog is a bad guy. It is not his fault the Jaguars have problems worth complaining about. However, I can live without the "Fire Shack Harris!" arguments and will ignore anyone who says the Jaguars need a new general manager and head coach.

Now how am I supposed to activate my new user name?

Most of the posts on this thread are complaints about The Sideline being killed. We will get warnings for posting sideline topics anywhere, apparently, and nobody likes that.

I am not a Sideline contributor and can simply go to Broncos Country for that stuff. However, there is no reason you can't go to www.denverbroncos.com and register. It has a forum that is like The Sideline but called something else.[/quote]

That is in the works as we speak. The new board will not be a competitor to this board.

JID was kind enought to give us some time to get another place together and find another place to talk about the rest of life. (a descendant of the sideline, if you will) The details can be found in a thread currently in the sideline. It will be moved to another forum tomorrow with the opening of the new board.

When the wrong post is quoted, it means that somebody else has posted in the topic since you opened it up. Annoying isn't it? Especially during some hot debates. The rest I have no idea, those have never happened to me before. And yes, the ignore feature is returning.

I think it is an extremely bad decision to discontinue The Sideline.

The sideline was a great place where the members of this board could take a break from football, talk about a variety of subjects & get to know each other better & create friendships & more.

While I wasn't one who requented the sideline as much as others, I did enjoy the forum & thought it was a cool place to chill.

Sometimes, people would be in need & the sideline was a venue where they could ask for/ get help with certain problems/ issues. Now, that will be impossible, with the loss of that forum & the new rules.

I think we will lose a lot of traffic on the entire forum because of this decision, and IMO, that cannot be a good thing.

The offseason will be extremely boring without the Sideline....especially post draft till camp opens.

Let me also state that I hope that you keep the overall design/ colors/ asthetics the same, as I think this board is much better in the current colors (black backdrop/ white type, teal & gold accents.) It's easy to read & looks cool. Much better than the previous board.

Hopefully some of my comments here in this post will be taken seriously & if possible considered. I think its a fair assumption to say that my opinion up there is not alone.[/quote]
