BTW what did MJD do last year at 22 again? What did Fred do at 22 while sharing carries with Stewart?

They are both great backs. Lets leave it at that.

MJD was slightly injured the three games before it and didn't play as much as we would either, which would both increase FT's playtime and decrease MJD's.. Its a moot point

i hear alotta about fred injury being the cause of the carries betwwen him and mjd being close.. umm, do you guys realize that in two games mojo has had a sprained ankle and has to miss a number of series due to that sprained ankle? numbers always lie.. look at the games and judge the numbers at the end of the season

Look, it still proves deLiGHT's point that they're reading our forums. It really isn't being talked about THAT MUCH on radio.

Anyway, I was under the impression that originally, MJD was being saved for Return duty; but that hasn't been the case that much this year. Maybe that's why some people are beginning to complain so much? Because, hey, he isn't returning as much, so why not more carries? I really don't know.

So would you be raving about him if he said MJD should get the bulk of the carries? I think not. He points out that Fred always starts slow...true. But he fails to point out that Fred has never started this slow. I wanna see Fred kick it into high-gear more than anybody else, but from what I am seeing right now...I just can't see it happening. And the last carries stat he threw in there is misleading due to the fact that Taylor hardly played in the Denver game...but it does help him make his point about the starter being irrelevant.

The problem with people saying Taylor should be the starter and get the bulk of the carries is they are using past seasons to justify their points. Wins and losses of last season don't matter, nor does the yardage he accumulated...what matters is who is best for this team NOW. And that man is MJD. Pretend Fred and MJD are both rookies and through 6 games, there stats are where they stand as of now...who do you start? I rest my case.[/quote]

You missed the point. Say we drafted both guys this year and they are giving us this kind of production...MJD- 5 TD's and a 4.6 avg, FT-0 TD's and a 3.4 avg...who would start? This is the only true way to evaluate talent THIS YEAR...picture them as both first year players. It's fair.[/quote]

Gotcha....well realistically there are tons of excuses for both. Situational players, for different situations on the field. What was MJD excuse last year when he had the sphmore slump? He was badarse his roookie year, fell asleep last year and doing ok this year so far.

True. But the meltdown happened, you gotta be able to adjust your game. Fred needs to realize he doesn't have time to stutter-step then hit the hole...that's another reason why this offense is better suited with MJD , right now...he hits the hole much quicker. With our O-line beat up they can only create so much space for our guys to run through, and the hole dissappears quickly.

Hey I agree with you there. We do have a bad arse board I think. I have been to the Sqeelers, Clots, to name a few and our board is great compared to some. A few members that get under the skin but over all our community is great. I don't see any FBT's on any other forum doing all the write up's as he does. I think this forum is has a pretty tight crew here (FANS). Even though we all get into heated debates sometimes we always end up just loving the JAGS at the end of the day.

Taylor would've been "cranking" it up if our O-line hadn't been devestated with injuries.

ESPN is not telling us something we don't already know. Fred is a beast and with our O-line coming back together and our offense coming in sync you will see his numbers get back to they way they were last year. It's a shame it took this long, but that is football.
