He did the average yards per game and he was surprised by the numbers. It wasn't a huge difference, but it was like 5 to 10 yards per game. If he is incorrect then that means I am incorrect. I found the numbers to be surprising as well. His point was that we didn't seem to miss a beat with Norman in there. That's a GOOD thing. Teams who can overcome injuries do very well. We just have to overcome. And we have great depth on this team.

RE: Overlooking the Meester injury?
The Mad Dog (8/8/2008)

THE BLUPRINT (8/8/2008)
Duh da dud da!
It's captain hijacker!

Perfect timing TMD;)
Please explain how exactly my response was "hijacking the thread".

The reponse was totally in topic with the theme of the thread.

You ppl need to hone up on your comprehension skills. (The argument could be made that we were still "gelling" as an offense.)

This year we can't afford to start off slow because of 3 out 4 games to start the season are against division opponents.

Also, the news of Norman getting hurt worry me( although, the reports are that it isn't very serious).

This isn't a sky is falling post, but, I think we maybe overlooking the injury to Meester a little bit.

Am I being paranoid?

Thoughts??
Did you also notice that the team had just cut the starting quarterback that they had been preparing to start the season with, and had crafted the playbook around?

Or, did you notice that they were installing a brand new offense last year at the start of the season?

Meester's absence won't be as significant as you think. The Jaguars rush per game was actually higher when Norman was in last year than when he was out. I'm not saying Norman is better, but I don't think Meester is a big injury (when we have a guy like Norman backing him up). I think Jerry Porter and Reggie Williams are more of a concern. The Jags have looked very good in training camp and from all reports this team is going to be in the mix for sure. Watch out for Tony McDaniel. I remember you saying that missing Stroud would hurt us. If Tony keeps playing like he is, you'll be saying "Stroud who?".

RE: Overlooking the Meester injury?

what is a "sapect" ?

RE: Overlooking the Meester injury?

Duh da dud da!

It's captain hijacker!

Perfect timing TMD;)

RE: Overlooking the Meester injury?

Or you could listen to TMD, the same guy that has the BRONCOS IN THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME HAHAHAHA

RE: Overlooking the Meester injury?
huffdaddy52 (8/8/2008)

FBT (8/8/2008)

huffdaddy52 (8/8/2008)
Yes, Norman has filled in quite nicely for us the past couple of years.
