I don't care what you dress the Roar in, they leave a lot to be desired when compared to a lot of other NFL cheerleaders. Nothing gets much hotter than the Dolphins or Raiders cheerleaders imho. Wow. Did my one line statement regarding shirt color really get you so worked up that you really had to quote it twice in the same thread?

Why don't you show us all how the black jersey's increased the teams sales figures? Oh, and since I am pretty sure that you haven't taken the time to figure this out, remember that the only revenues that the teams can directly attribute to their ledger sheets are those sold at the stadium or by vendors that are directly associated with the team itself and not the league.

Just wait until the NFL picks up on University of Oregon's helmet changes during the season.

I dunno if I like it, but I see it as something that may be coming.

Shoot, in the EPL, away uni's are strikingly different than a team's home uni's.

The idea, so I've been told, is that a team playing away doesn't want to show their home opponent the respect of wearing their true colors.

Anway, the NFL will continue to come up with inventive ways to sell more merchandise thus disrupting the notion of traditional colors.

Just don't change the Jaguar logo. Best logo in the league. :cool:

There are three reasons I never really cared for them...

Limitations. Realistically, they can only where them at night games or at home games late in the season. This means they can never be deemed the main jersey, and hence can only be their "alternate." Maybe they want to try out a different "alternate."
Looks. When wearing all black the Jaguars players look smaller than the other guys. It's like it slims them down on TV.
Unoriginal. Can you possibly get more unoriginal?

Either way, I don't see this as a big deal at all. If they brought them back I wouldn't care either. This is practically a "non-issue" in the grand scheme of things, and there's no way it has any impact on the team's profit margin. To think it might is naive.

The point is....the black jerseys were becoming tradition for the Jaguars & their fans as we knew to expect them on most night games as well as a few selected important day games (Colts 2006).

The players liked 'em. Fans liked 'em. They sold well. Gave the Jags an intimidating look on field.

I think the fans should get a petition going to get the black jerseys back. I'd bet the players would chime in as well.

I like the all black occasionally, but teal is the main color so its not that big a deal. I think the best color though, was the teal top with black pants.

It sounds to me as if you think both teams should have stayed with the tradition.

The black unis look good, but there are about 700 NFL teams that wear black, 701 if you count the almost-black "navy blue" of the Bears (OK, I exaggerated slightly). Teal is unique, and at the same time traditional.

What are you talking about? Of course teal is their primary color. It always had been, and it is part of the "basic 16." The term "basic 16 colors," refers to the 16 "hexidecimal" colors used by computers and online applications such as this board. They are black, silver, gray, white, maroon, red, purple, fuchsia, green, lime, olive, yellow, navy, blue, teal and aqua.

You could argue that you're talking about colors in painting, but the term "basic 16" doesn't apply there. However, there are 12 basic colors on the color wheel. These include the six primary and secondary colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet, and the six colors made by combining adjoining colors, such as red-orange. When you combine blue and green evenly, you get teal.

Look, the teal is OK, I don't mean to bag on one of our colors, just don't sit there and tell me that the Jags getting rid of the best jersey they had is a "good" thing - and don't say stuff like "its about time" because thats just stupid.

No way the black uniforms were tight. They looked pretty hard in them. I don't get why they got rid of those. It was a good jersey to wear a couple games of the season.

And actually Neptune some of us do like hockey outside of russians and Canadians lol.

Hornets, Sharks, Mighty Ducks, Grizzlies, Marlins and Jaguars. Panthers are not teal. It's a powder sky blue as named on their website.

2nd: Who the heck knew about ANY hockey colors....Oh yeah, Canadians and Russians. Don't care.

3rd. We are the only team that wears a deep teal. Yes, there are uniforms that have a hint of teal. But we are the only true TEAL NFL team.

Notice how if you darkened the color of cyan, you wouldn't get teal at all.

They look awesome and they also don't look like anyone else's unis.

I am disappointed to see the all black jersey go though. I wouldn't have wanted it to be our every game uniform but it was a nice change of pace to see once or twice a year.

After looking at my watch, it appears it is time for Mad Dog's daily ****fit, which has become an even greater tradition than wearing black jerseys during night games.
