I will say the way wide receivers who are can't miss, miss in the NFL... I'd say about three of those guys will actually become stars.

With that stated, Maclin runs a lot more routes than people here are giving him credit for. He runs the slot, he's not the outside guy ever. But the guy cuts and leaves defenders in their spots.

Crabtree has the body size... I don't like Harvin, of course I'm not from the southeast.

I also wasn't impressed with Bryant last night, even while Okie State was putting a beating on us. Bryant got roughed off and backed off. Maclin was the best receiver in the game yesterday as far as pure receiving is concerned.

Benn is an impressive player, I haven't seen much of Bey.

Maclin has also bulked up this season, and still has his speed. You never know with receivers, but I like Mac's chances.

I agree. He has the ability to score anytime he touches the ball, and is really fun to watch. They say he's the most talented player at OSU since Barry Sanders was here, and I really think he will have a productive NFL career. He's only a sophomore so he has even more time to develop. He makes the QB look much better than he actually is. Just throw it in his general direction and he'll find a way to come down with the football. He is already built like an NFL WR. He man-handles any CB that has him in single-coverage. He can and will break tackles in the open field. He has returned 2 punts already this year for TD's. He's essentially everything we've lacked at the WR position, and I'd love to have him as a Jaguar. He hasn't gotten much publicity playing at OK State, but they are now #8 in the country so it's going to be hard to ignore him. Maclin and Crabtree are the big WR names in the Big XII, and I think he's been overshadowed. He is just as good if not better than both of them.

Big John, if you ever get a chance to watch him man, you should. I think you'll like what you see.

I think Dez could be the next great NFL WR, he's got the size, hands, ball skills, body control, production, speed, versatility (KR and PR), leaping ability you look for in an NFL WR

Well before last season everyone was calling Bowman the next Calvin Johnson.

Honestly, I've only seen little clips of him. I haven't had the chance to watch him play yet.

Michael Crabtree
Arrelious Benn
Dez Bryant
Darrius Heyward-Bey
Percy Harvin
Jeremy Maclin

Crabtree is going to be a star WR in the NFL, I'm not sure who to compare him too, but no doubt he'll be a star WR IMO

Benn is a better version of Anquan Boldin, he's much, much faster and more athletic

Dez Bryant is a freak, already has 9 TD's and 20.4 YPC, has crazy ups and is deceptively fast and can return punts and kicks

DHB is 6'3", 205 lbs, and runs a sub 4.30 40, he has every thing to be a dominant NFL WR, but he's been held back by bad QB's at UMD

Percy Harvin IMO will be the next Steve Smith, I'm just concerned that he'll have injury issues as he has had in college, but he's an elite talent no question

Jeremy Maclin concerns me because he runs only a few routes and is not that physical and his routes and hands are gradually improving. I see J-Mac being a Santonio Holmes type WR

The common denominator is that all 6 of these WR's will be big time players

I disagree. Crabtree looks like a stud. He has strong hands and runs hard after the catch. Reminds me of T.O. after the catch.

Crabtree would be #1 for me. the offense he plays in kinda scares me though. i think he'll be successful in the NFL. but the offense probably does make him look better.

if it werent for the injury concerns, id put Harvin #2. i dont know if he'd beat all those receivers in a straight up 40 race, but im sure he is quicker than all of them.

i dont know much about dez bryant.

Like I said all these WR's are going to have excellent careers IMO, but I LOVE Benn and Bryant (Both Sophomores), Dez Bryant at OK state may do the best job at job balls and gets the ball at the highest point I've seen in a while in college football and I love both Benn and Bryant's hands and YAC ability as well

I love Maclin, but I'm nervous about him because of the offense he plays in with the lack of routes he runs and his lack of physicality, but he could grow into an elite WR with time no doubt, as could Percy

There are some Sophomores in here, but just wondering where you guys stood on where you would rank these college WR's, based on what you think they'll be in the NFL
