Donovin Darius has the Record for almost every defensive stat. He has to go in the Ring of Honor if Boselli got in. He played 10 year's started every game he played from rookie year. Gave back to the community, and was a leader in the locker room. He had a personal offseason work out that included other player's. Some of the credit for those player's being in shape for the season is due to him.

Imagine this: The Shortest Backfield....MJD and Jeffrey Demps.

We plan on launching a new message board tomorrow sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. When this process begins the old board will be shutdown so we can move accounts & posts to the new board.

The following is provided to answer some of the questions which will arise.

1) The new board will contain a forum entitled “New Forum Comments” which will remain on the board for a two week period. This forum is intended to help you and us with the transition to the new board. Constructive comments and suggestions concerning the new board are to go here only. Suggestions / comments placed in other forums will not be moved, nor read, but rather deleted.

2) Logging into the new board – sign in using your username and password just as you would with the existing board.

3) Signatures – Signatures will be transferred to the new board. A few sigs may not work when transferred.

4) Avatars - Will not come over to the new board, so save yours if you would like to use it on new board.

5) Forums - The board will include the following forums:

a. The Jaguars – same content as the existing board

b. AFC South – same content as existing board

c. NFL @Large - Same content with additional expectation that Free Agency is also discussed here

d. College Football – A new forum dedicated to the discussion of college football and the NFL Draft

e. Tailgate Zone – A place for fans to discuss their tailgate plans, share tailgate setups/recipes, and talk about their gameday, or where they plan to watch the game.

f. Jaguars Ticketing – same content as on existing board. We will be making a concerted effort to ensure that your ticketing questions are answered in a prompt manner by members of the Ticket Office.

g. Gameday Experience – Modification of old forum. This redirects you to the ‘My Experience’ portion of Jaguars.com so you may ask questions and voice concerns pertaining to your gameday experience.

h. Jaguars.com - Same content as existing board, your comments and concerns regarding jaguars.com or the message forums (after the ‘New Forum Comments” is deleted)

6) Banned Members Appeals - This forum will appear only if you have been suspended or banned. This is the only place to appeal a suspension or banishment. Only board admins have additional access to this forum. Only they will make a final determination on appeals for reinstatement.

7) The Sideline --This board will be a football only board. Hence, “The Sideline” is gone and will not be reintroduced. Non- Football threads (other than those in the Feedback area )will be deleted when noticed by mods or admins and warnings will be issued for posting same.

8) Warnings – Members will typically receive five warnings before they are suspended or banned from the board. We reserve the right, however, to suspend or ban your account without notice should the violation be severe enough.

9) Trolls – Trollish behavior includes the disruption of the board by means of meaningless posts, profanity, spamming the board, etc. A troll IS NOT a fan of the opposing team who expresses their opinion of a recent or upcoming game.

10) Spamming the board – Bumping posts, replying to one’s own response, and extremely short responses that add little to the topic are considered spamming and subject to warnings from the mods.

11) Board Dicipline - Occasionally we run into the unfortunate situation where we have to suspend members for poor conduct on the message board. A member who breaks the rules outlined above is subject to the following disciplinary action:

a. First through fourth offenses : Warning

b. Fifth offense – Suspension or Permanent ban

Egregious violations may result in temporary suspension which will be reviewed by the administrators for potential permanent banishment.

12) Clean Slate – All members, less those currently banned, will start out on the new board with no warnings. Formal warnings for starting non-football threads will not be issued during the first week of operation, however, these threads will be immediately deleted and you will receive PM warnings. Should a mod determine you are knowingly and purposefully posting non-football threads you will be suspended.

13) Off-topic Posts- Will not be tolerated and will be subject to warnings.

14) Ignore feature – This is an included function of the board so you may choose to ignore any poster who bothers you, less the mods and admins. You may also chose to not see sigs.

15) Quoting posts – Many have complained in the past about this and we have limited the number of posts that can be quoted to four.

16) Revised COC - The COC has been revised and will be pinned to each Forum. Please familiarize yourself with it. By logging into the the new board, old members are bound to its terms and conditions.

17) Blogs – Official Jaguars blogs may be accessed from the message board. We may, in the future enable user blogs, either selectively or en masse.

18) Gallery – We are also moving our picture gallery to the Forum. Again, for the time being this is an Official gallery only.

Just got to say, these guys are good.

Aaron Curry, i don't know if he is a high first rounder, but I think the guy is a stud. Very good SAM 'backer prospect. Very instinctual and he knows how to be around the football. Especially in the backfield.

Alphonso Smith is the best defensive back I've seen in the country all year long. Probably won't be the top guy off the board, but he is a stud. Period. I think he skills rival anyone in the country. If he was 2 inches taller he'd be a Top 10 pick.

Chip Vaughn is more of a mid-round pick, but he is very big in size, and I think he could be a solid player.

Boo Robinson is more of a mid-rounder, I wasn't as impressed with him as I was in previous games, but he is a solid player. Very stout and doesn't get pushed around.

Forget reality for a second, this is Jacksonville home of city icon Tim Tebow.

What if we draft in the top 15 next season and Tim Tebow is still on the board and the Jags pass him up. Forget the fact that we have a QB, forget the fact that we have a TE that is beginning to look good.

Will there be a major falling out with season ticket holders when the Jags pass on Tim Tebow? www.walterfootball has him going to the Vikings mid 1st round.

Just think about Tebow's impact to the buzz that the Jags so dearly need.

Jeremy Maclin v. Percy Harvin : Who would you rather have?

I think it's becoming obvious that Maclin is the superior player. Every time I watch him and Missouri play, he stands out more and more. He is the better college player. It's also becoming obvious that Harvin will be nothing more than a gimmick player in the NFL while Maclin should be a bonafide star.

Another name out there.

Duke Robinson and Herm Johnson are two elite level guard prospects.

HJ is 6'7" a good 340, moves great. Once he gets his hands on you, its OVA. Gets to the second level really well.

He doesn't always finish blocks, but its typically when the run is away from him.

Kid is a stud.

I really don't see us taking Robinson over Laurinitis, Curry, Maclin, Johnson, Hardy, Mack, Maulauga, or basically anyone else he has going after us. I think that type of need drafting would really cost us the opportunity to acquire a very talented player.

He has us taking Alphonso Smith the CB out of Wake Forest. It's an interesting pick considering Bey and Harvin are still on the board as well as Selvie and a DT is taken right after our pick. I, for one, wouldn't mind having Smith in teal.

LeSean McCoy

I got a chance to see McCoy play live at Navy today. Now Navy's defense is not that great, but they did shut down then 16th ranked Wake's offense, but LeSean was elusive as ever on a 3rd and 10 they threw a screen to him and he got about 16 yards downfield then made a defender look silly then picked up 10 more yards. He had a 58 yard run for a TD up the middle with just over a minute left in the 1st Half which was remarkable. He also had at least 2 plays off the top of my head where he ran to the right then stopped and reversed field to the left and picked up 1st downs each time.

The wrap on McCoy has been he tries to bounce everying, he doesn't break tackles, and such, but today I thought he did a great job, he broke some tackles, ran hard between the tackles, and there is no doubt he's an EXCITING football player

Well Mark Sanchez is my favorite college QB in terms of translating to the NFL right now, so I sent him a message on facebook asking him what he'd think if some crazy scenario happened where he became a Jaguar. He said, you know that Coach Del Rio wouldn't play me over David Garrard. Then I said, Oh true, you're exactly right, but you would be the heir apparent in Jacksonville after David, then he replied, I don't want to sound selfish but I want to go somewhere I can play right away, I don't wanna sit on the bench.

Just thought I'd share that, and find out your opinions on Sanchez and where you rank him among QB prospects such as Stafford, Tebow, Painter, Cantwell, Bradford, etc.

This is not necessarily draft eligible guys, but guys that have caught my eye...

[b]Chase Daniel, QB, Mizzou[/b]- I really didn't think he was this good. I didn't get to watch a lot of their games last year and I sort of lumped him in with Todd Reesing. I watched the Nebraska game and he jumped off the screen at me. He's so accurate, smart and a competitor. I can't wait for them to play Texas in a few weeks and then hopefully Oklahoma in the BIg 12 championship.

[b]Dekoda Watson, LB, FSU[/b]- Here's a guy that is a physical freak. He ran a sub 4.5 in off season workouts this year. He's great in coverage and blitzing. Not trying to be a homer here, but he's going to be one heck of an OLB at the next level.

[b]Joe Joseph, DT, The U[/b]- He made countless plays last Saturday against the Noles and the guy is a monster. He's listed at 6-3, 300, but he looks bigger. The was one play where he was getting blocked out of the way and he grabbed Ponder's jersey and pulled him down with one arm.

[b]George Selvie, DE, USF[/b]- He's got the look of a Gaines Adams. Usually when a player is that talented, they have a tough time keeping the motor up. Selvie has a motor. He plays all out on every play. He's battling an ankle thing right now I believe so his stats might be skewed but I watched him early in the year and he really impressed me.

[b]Javon Ringer, RB, MSU[/b]- Wow. This kid can run the football. It's amazing he wasn't getting all the carries last year. His legs are so strong that I've yet to see him off balance once this year. He runs hard which is something I think people overlook sometimes.

[b]Janoris Jenkins, CB, UF[/b]- True freshman is now starting for Florida. He's solidified the corner spot opposite Haden. Some people think he lacked the speed to compete at a high level in the College game but he shut up his critics.

[b]Brandon Tate, WR, UNC[/b]- This kid continues to impress. He's leading that offense right. He's their go-to guy and he's making big catches in big games and big situations.

[b]LeSean McCoy, RB, Pitt[/b]- Believe it or not, when they played USF on Thursday, it was the first time I was able to watch him play. He makes real good hard cuts but needs to run a little harder up the middle. He's a little to fancy right now and he has the body to run it up inside. Regardless, I was still impressed with the way he runs the ball.

[b]A.J. Green, WR, UGA[/b]- Another true freshman that has quickly become the best receiver on the Bulldogs roster. He has a great combo of size and speed and has a good set of hands. It'll be interesting to see who becomes the better receiver, A.J. Green or Julio Jones.

[b]Rodney Stewart, RB, Colorado[/b]- He reminds me of Darren Sproles. He's a little guy that makes good cuts and runs tougher than you would think for someone of his size. I haven't seen him break a long run yet though. His long for the season is 19 yards but he's averaging 5.1 a pop.

[b]Michael Smith, RB, Arkansas[/b]- He reminds me of Cadillac. He's a 200 pound guy that runs like a fast 230 pound guy. He played a heck of a game against Florida last week.

Brian Toal - BC LB Out For Year

BC backer done for year again… Boston College LB Brian Toal will miss the rest of the season after breaking his right fibula in Saturday‘s win over Virginia Tech. The ill-luck Toal redshirted last season because of a shoulder injury.

This guy was playing well coming off a shoulder injury.

I still think that he would be a good Rd 6 pick for the Jags.

Dunno if it's been mentioned, but Roy Williams (WR) recent deal could be a sign of what's to be demanded by agents in free agency and the draft.

Lockout = you don't get paid, which could come in 2011 if the NFL goes capless in 2010.

Roy's agent tried to get him as much as he could prior to the end of 2010. Look for other agents to follow suit, including next year's draft picks. the guy remind me of a young David Garrard ALOT

right now he is listed at 6-2 231...1 inch taller and 15 pounds lighter than Garrard, virtually a clone. He might possibly be faster that Garrard, I couldn't find a 40 time on him.

look derrick williams is a potential pick for the jaguars this year, there is no question about that

but if we could grab both these guys out of the same school, it would help their maturity of these 2 young athletic players

At a time when the Chiefs are actively talking to other teams about a trade of tight end Tony Gonzalez, Jay Glazer of FOX reports that they also are shopping running back Larry Johnson.

It’d be a wise move to move L.J., as we pointed out in last week’s Ten-Pack for SportingNews.com. Really, who needs a high-end running back when the team is routinely going to be abandoning the run?

The problem is that the Chiefs will have a hard time finding someone to assume Johnson’s contract, and his reputation for surliness. (The other problem is that, barring a catastrophic injury on Sunday, no contending team needs a tailback of L.J.’s ilk. Except for maybe the Broncos, but the Chiefs would likely resist trading Johnson within the division.)

Johnson is signed for four more seasons, with base salaries of $2.5 million in 2008, $4.55 million in 2009, $5 million in 2010, $5.3 million in 2011, and $5.9 million in 2012.

Assuming that the Chiefs decide to trade Larry Johnson this offseason, would you advocate trading a 2009 Rd 3 pick to make this trade? Sure Fred is still healthy, but a Larry Johnson and MoJo running combo would be awesome. Looks like his contract is not much different than Fred's.

I saw Brandon Tate on ESPN when he single-handedly destroyed Rutgers.

He is the exact kind of receiver that the Jags needs: a smaller, quicker receiver that has deep speed. He would compliment nicely with our bigger receivers like Matt Jones and Jerry Porter. I see a little Santonio Holmes in him and he would give our offense more explosiveness in our receiving corps.

He's probably going to be an early 2nd or 3rd rounder pick.

Neefy Moffett- DE- FSU

On the subject of FSU DE's, I want to pump the name of a guy that has put in a lot of work in the last few years to get in better draft shape.

Neefy Moffet came in the same year as Everette Brown and also came in a linebacker. Neefy was 6-1 215 lb linebacker coming into school. His first ever game against Miami he recorded a couple huge sacks and had the sack that won FSU the game. He was playing DT that game. He's up to 259 pounds and ran a low 4.5 during the offseason. He has an Elvis Dumervil type of build. I think he has GREAT value in the later rounds. He could turn out to be a stud pass-rusher.

Had a chance to see Joe Burnett yesterday live and in technicolor...

This kid is for real. As a corner, he can keep up with the fastest of the fast, has swagger, and has a great jump on the football. Great hips. Great straight line speed. Love his ball skills. Also love that he is physical and likes to mix it up. Doesn't matter if he is smaller, he can play physical and bump and run.

Best of all, he is a serious dual threat. Love his return skills.

I'd say he is a solid second rounder. Real good football player.

I'd put him behind Alphonso Smith, Malcolm Jenkins, Mike Mickens, and Darius Butler of those that I've seen this year.

Should the Jags Go After Terrell Suggs in FA Next Year?

OK so in 2008, the Jags traded the farm to move up and draft Derrick Harvey in Rd 1 and they traded a couple of cows to move up and draft Quentin Groves in Rd 2. So far the Jags pass rush is non-existant. Assuming that both improve over the course of this season, will these two be enough to create a pass rush in 2009?

It appears that Terrell Suggs brokered a deal with Baltimore that will allow him to leave in Free Agency next season. If he becomes available should the Jags try to sign him? As a pass rush OLB, does his game translate to the 4-3 DE position? If so, can the Jags even afford to pay him what he will want which has got to be Jared Allen type money.
