TNS Survey and $5 Target Gift Card

Last Sunday, at the Jaguars-Browns game, cards were handed out at the gates that say "You might be eligible for a FREE $5 Target Gift Card". It includes a website, username and password. I completed the survey the next day. At the end, it says "We will be sending you an email with a code so that you may collect your $5 Target gift card. So that we may send you your email, what is your full name? What is your email address?" The next screen is a thank you screen and that is it. Well, so far, I have not received an email from TNS with my Target gift card code. Did anyone else get one of these cards at the gate? Did you complete the survey and get anything in return? Or was this all a big hoax?

Security at Municipal Stadium

Hi,

I witnessed Sunday at the Browns game a discouraging removal of a fan out of the stands. The fan was passed a beach ball and a security guard asked for the ball and the fan hit the ball away from the security guard. The security guard was furious and called in 3 extra security guards to remove the fan. The fan did not curse, was not drunk and was having fun. He was escorted out of the stadium. WOW, not drunk, not being obscene, not using profanity, JUST HAVING FUN HITTING A PLASTIC BEACH BALL. If the security is SO strict, then the vendors should not be allowed to distribute these type of items. Also, another fan did the same thing but was not escorted out, just removed from his seat and then came back later. We are here to have a good time. This did not hurt anyone, did not go on the field and was harmless. GIVE THE FANS A BREAK.

Security if you want to be a policeman and really fight crime, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office needs you. Our Jacksonville Jaguar football game is not the place to be a BULLY for a BEACH BALL.

Have some football spirit!!!!

I have been told that the Jags have done away with this rule. The web site still lists 6 inchs as the rule. Has anyone heard of this change? I sure hope they have changed it.

Yeah I'm 3 weeks late but I forgot to mention I saw ol Quinny tailgating right before the Steelers game. I went up and chatted with him for a few minutes and he seems like a real nice guy. Glad to see hes got a home in KC for the time being.

I met Poamalu's dad last night at the bar in the east club... A real nice guy... He says he goes to every game home and away and has always enjoyed his trips to Jacksonville... He's a good tipper.... Gave the bartender a 20 for a double Crown.....

I asked him if his son flew him everywhere but he said no...... he can afford it himself....

I don't usually like tail gating.thats why I like the park and ride so much.But due to the late start tomorrow a Friend of mine from work who used to park at JMS but now uses JTB shuttle service.Has invited me and any one else who would care to join in the fun.To arrive early and party. BYO.

Flyby II

The Flyby tomorrow night will be by F5 Tiger IIs from NAS Key West. If you're not familiar with the F5, it was used for the "MIGS" in Top Gun. That isn't really Far fetched because that's how both the USAF and the navy used them. They simulated MIGs at Top Gun and the Air Force's Red Flag. Most of the aircraft built were sold to allies we kept just a few. The real use we got from it is the T38 trainer derivative. Many USAF pilots learned to fly in the "White Rocket".

I did not enjoy the new PA guy. Wrong on alot of down and distance calls, who tackled who, and player names. He actually started to convince me that Mkristo Bruce is actually mkristo BROOKS! He also screwed up Pierson Prioleau's name several times although i can forgive that one. He also lacked energy on his calls. I hope he develops some personality studies the roster and learns how to subtract/add yards and downs. OPINIONS?

My main question though is I hear parking is a pain in the neck down near Jax Mun. St. and was wondering if there were any hotels that offered transportation or that was in walking distance of the stadium, taxi services, etc. thanks

Who is the bset person to complain too about what is happing at the last two games. I have season tickets which i have had for four years in the same location 437 g 1&2 and i will add i purcahsed an additonal ticket this year. I had to coplain twice yesterady and i was not the only one about the seat ushers now standing on top of the stairs to direct people to their seats which means they block the forty yard line in both directions form my view. The stood there from kickoff unitl i complained twice after 3 minute was left in the first quarter. Why cannot they stand at the bottom of the stairs and perform the same function. They have not done this the last three years.

Best Tailgate Parking

This issue has been discussed on a few threads, but I have a specific request regarding gameday parking: Please respond if you know of [u]Jaguar[/u] lots that are set up to handle vehicles on a "pay at the gate" basis. I am looking for a lot that I know will have restrooms available (we drink a lot of ...beverages), ample space for tailgating before and after the game, and that will allow me to pay an attendant on the day of the game. I live out of town, and I need a backup plan in the event that the lot I have always parked in (Lot X) is eliminated due to development. I am trying to avoid driving around like an , wasting valuable tailgating time, when I come up on 8/16.

I appreciate any and all help with this.

I heard a rumor that Parking Lot X will not be in existence for next season. This was the furthest west lot (corner of A. Phillip Randolph and Bay) on the river. They were not reserved spots and cost $20 per car.

It was pretty much just another meaningless preseason game.then,when most of the fans had headed out to get a jump on the traffic.less than 60 seconds on the clock.suddenly the jags are defending the north end zone.The dirty birds should be able to tie easily.If not score a touch down snatching a victory from the jaws of defeat.

I have never seen so few fans make so much noise.that jag defense showed up,12 man and all.

Just wondering how many of us here where involved in it.And what you all thought about the moment

Motorcycle Parking

Any suggestions on Gameday parking for motorcycles? I'll be riding to the games much more this year and was curious if anyone knew a good lot near the stadium. I parked on the east side of the stadium last Saturday, but would like to know of any other options anyone may know about. Thanks in advance!
