I got an e-mail from the Jags, stating the same thing, and that I could buy an adjacent seat to my own. So I did. I guess it's around 399 now.

I got an update on this earlier today from someone that's involved with the process. The Jaguars have around 400 tickets left to sell to avoid blackouts this year.

Could the ticket account possibly have been in a different name originally? Like a parent or ex-spouse or company perhaps? That's the only thing I can think of.

Nope, same name, same Jaguars account number since 1993. I got my tickets on the second day (the phone lines where jammed on the first day). Never missed a year. I did go from regular bowl seating to club seats in ''05 though. You wouldn't think that would cause a problem. I'm actually a little teed off if I'm not "on the record" as an original ticket holder since I am. [/quote]

No, I doubt moving sections would have caused the problem, but you never know. On the other hand, the letter came via the postal service so it's possible it either got lost, or perhaps someone at your home read it and tossed it and forgot to mention it to you. I've moved sections one time since my original seats so I don't think that would have been a problem.

I've been to all but 2 games and got drawn for superbowl tix. The 1st miss was the Nov '95 Bungals game 2 days after our daughter was born... it was either go to the game and leave my wife home alone w/ a newborn 2 days after giving birth, or miss the game and p/u my mother-in-law at the airport (I gladly made the sacrifice in the name of family harmony :)). The 2'nd was last year's game vs. SD.... in Jan, my wife booked us on a cruise for the week of Thanksgiving. I didn't even think about the possibility of missing a game until the tix came in the mail...[/quote]

I've missed one regular season game to attend my mother's funeral in N.C. in 2005. It's not uncommon for me to miss pre-season games anymore because they have been on weekend nights and being in the restaurant and bar business it's impossible for me to leave work.

I am not..I live in Orlando and was unable to buy them until this year..I have 4 seats in 141 and shall keep them for the next 75 years

Where were you before you moved to the West side?

We had been season ticket holders in other stadiums before we moved to Jax in 1993 and learned not to sit on the side with the sun shining in the eyes, on the wrong side of the aisle when people walking up and down the stairs blocked the view, and in the middle of the row so you weren't jumping up and down letting people go by to the concessions or bathroom.

I bought 5 tickets by faxing in the form in the Times Union the day after the NFL awarded the team to Jax. Two of the tickets were for another couple and 3 were for me, my wife, and one of our 5 kids. After the first year I signed over the two tickets to our friends and kept 3 until last year when they practically doubled my ticket price. I still have two. Plus, my kids are now grown adults and a couple of them have their own tickets. We were in the same seats since day one until we went to the relocation event earlier this year and decided to move to the west side. I can't wait to finally see some of the bands from the front.

Yeah, I think that's probaby covering accounts because I got the same letter (2005). I seem to recall during a Champions Club meeting prior to the 2006 season that Tim Connolly indicated that there were between 20 and 25k. I'm assuming he was referring to individual seats and not accounts.

I thought I was going to miss one in October of 97 because it was the day after my daughter was born.We had so many visitors at the hospital that my wife ordered me to go to the game because I was useless at the hospital, pacing and trying to watch the pregame show on TV. Yep, it would make more sense if they are recognizing accounts, rather than tickets. I mean, if, like my neighbor, started with 10 tickets but reduced them to 4 as his children left the home he would still be an original but not an original 10.

I think too, the military presence in our town has a significant impact on legacy season ticket holders. The younger military members are more transient than the older ones.

The base of original season ticket holders is still above 25k according to an interview that Ketchman did with Tim Connolly a little while back. As one of those 25k, there's a great deal of pride taken in knowing that I've been there from the start.[/quote]

I think we both might be right. I think there are slightly more than 5,000 season ticket accounts, which may equal to be 25,000 actual seats. I know on my one season ticket account, I have two tickets. On my company's one account, we have 10 tickets, which we've had since day one.

I don't know whether I'm shocked or surprised that there are only around 25,000 of us left, but I'm glad I am part of original pack. It would be interesting to see the actual figure though.

I was down at the stadium a couple of years ago years ago and posed that questioned and was told their was about 25,000 original and continuous since day 1 season ticket holders. I don't remember which employee I talked with (they were in the ticketing dept. ), but they seemed pretty sure of the info.

A topic was brought up about when was your first Jaguar game. After reading the replies, I am curious as to how many of us original season ticket owners are left. Does anyone know?
