| What is the deal? I'm a broke college student so no NFL package for me. So now what? I get ONE early game while CBS broadcasts PAID PROGRAMING for three hours? Maybe I'm missing something or there is a great explanation for this but I say CBS sucks.

| Sad to say, but that's the nature of the beast. FOX and CBS alternate turns on who shows a double header for the week. It was FOX' turn to have the double so CBS was forced to have only single coverage.

| That's the way the business is run. I know it suck, but they both can't have double-headers.

| yes our local CBS does suck but not because of only showing one game.
Normally its their local HD broadcast that lacks.
For only showing one game, I enjoyed the bucs game and sometimes its a good thing you are forced to watch teams you normally do not get to see.
This is how it was when we had to walk up hill in the snow, barefooted,
with the tradition of watching the local team/s this created a fan base because that is all you got to see.
Had to watch MNF half time for the highlights of all the other games.
now life with out mp3, cell phones, and Big Screen TV's with NFL packages the world would crumble.

| | Being a broke college student does not mean you get CBS instead of Sunday Ticket because the NFL subscription uses all local CBS and FOX stations, with the channel numbers being in the low 700s but everything else exactly like the broadcast game. All games on my local CBS and FOX stations are only available on broadcast. I have NFL Sunday Ticket for one reason: CBS always shows the Browns and Bengals. The Steelers are shown if they do not play at the same time as the Browns and Bengals or if FOX is able to carry a game. Needless to say, without DirecTV I would not see my Jaguars except the two weeks they play against Ohio teams. That said, I have my own complaints against CBS. After they laid off all the sideline reporters, I was never satisfied with any injury reports because the lead analyst at each game only says one vague sentence like, "(Name) has a leg injury." When the network had sideline reporters, I always knew why players left the game and what, if anything, is being done in the locker room and treatment area.
