| Dang....all of this time wasted over arguing semantics. If you've been watching any of the games this year, you'd slowly realize that Drew IS starting to get more touches. But just like they rotate the receivers in and out based on what they want to do, they do the same with the backs. Maurice and Fred understand that different players are suited for different things....why can't some of the posters here do the same? "Starter" is literally just a formal thing nowadays. What's really important is how we're going to get our skill players in opportunities where they CAN make plays, which is only now starting to be figured out.

| | Like someone already said and I'll repeat...... Denvers run defense is weak! When fred got the ball he did move it! Fred was knocked out for almost the entire game. Lets look at what MOJO and both FRED have done each week. They have been about even in production because of the teams we play and the o-line being bumped and bruised. They have both been shut down (Tenn, Pitts, Buff), and when we could run the ball (indy & denver) they were able to run the ball. There is nothing wrong with FRED. He hasn't lost a step. Stop crying!

| | I was glad to see after I left Happy Cat decided to argue with EVERY person that has a differing opinion. You would think if that many more people have a differeing opinion you would sit back and realize something. MJD is a better than Fred Taylor right now. The thing is without Fred Taylor, MJD would not be the player he is. The Jaguars were one of the first teams to start the split back system, and it has helped both of them throughout the years get over injuries and not take huge beatings. MJD is good, but Fred is the franchise. As long as this offense is doing what it is supposed to with Fred as the starter things wont change.

I argued with the people who were wrong. I think you are right about many things you have posted but the whole " Without Fred taylor, MJD would not be the player he is"...that was proven wrong yesterday. Not saying I want to get rid of the two-back system, but I think MJD is better when he gets the bulk of the carries and can get into a rhythm. And yes, Fred has been the Franchise but guys it's time to turn the page. We have one of the top 5 most talented runningbacks in the league in MJD, and he has payed his dues. It's time he starts and gets the CARRIES he deserves.

| Uh, didn't Fred come in late in the game and drag 5 defenders 5 yards for the first down?
It doesn't matter who the "starter" is. They both get about equal snaps anyways.

I hope he has a break out game against the Browns and shuts all the haters down.

Your doing all the finger pointing you go look it up. Then come back and give Fred his props.

I'm just glad JDR doesn't come to the MB for advice... Long live Fred Taylor!! Oh and, GO JAGS!!!!! It's amazing how sensitive people are about FT. The numbers for this year don't lie, guys. But go ahead, wear your orange and blue glasses...or whatever else is blinding you from reality. Actually, I am not a Gators fan. I am a Jags fan however and has such I am not willing to toss aside the best player this team has had because of a slow start.(for the entire team might I add). MJD will take over for Fred but what is the purpose of calling for this replacement when Taylor is running just as good. Take away the Denver game and the stats are this: FT: 69car 232yds MJD:43car 176yds. You are correct my friend the stats do not lie. |
