Titans have a great defense after 3 games, which is not even a fourth of the season. Time will tell and I feel the Jags will have the #1 ranked defense, followed by the Ravens, at the end of the year.

tacks are overrated. But you'll come back down to Earth once you play the colts.. and lose twice.

Even funnier is this coming from a Jags' fan. If anything, the Titans were and are underrated. The Jags were the media darlings coming into this season.

So was vince young. Your point???

Media Darling??? He's been under heavy criticism since his pro bowl performance. Would like to make some more **** up today???

As much as I hate to admit it, the titans actually look pretty good.  If we can get healthy for our next match up against eachother, I think that the game could go either way.  A while back, I made a post saying that the titans could be scarey good without Young holding them down, and it looks like it is becoming a reality.  Our next match up against you guys should be a great hard fought game.

Stop hishacking threads!  You know who you are!

I'm sorry if this is weird but the only thing I could think about while reading that article was how good of a writer Bill Simmons is.

Vince won ROY (undeservedly) because he was the biggest Media Darling that season. You can't be that blind of a homer

I have always made the claim that Tenn. would be much better off without Young. I always joke that I want Vince Young to be healthy when we play. Just let him work and more often than not he will screw it up.

That was two years ago.  Going into THIS season nobody was on Vince's jock (which means the point of the Titans / Vince being a media darling is invalid).

If the tacks lost Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch... they would suck.

the Jags lost Vince Manuwai, Mo Williams and Brad Meester (for another few weeks). Of course they're not living up to expectations. Yet... they still haven't lost a game by more than a TD.

That should tell you how much better the Jags are. A run-first team losing the two parts of the line that make run plays work? tacks stink.. and I can't wait until Peyton and the Colts put them in their place.

Not to hijack this thread too much, but as someone that used to be an avid Bill Simmons reader, I find that I really can't stand to read too much of him anymore.

He has no journalistic integrity whatsoever in my eyes as he is openly for all things Boston/New England. He has a very single-minded view of sports and the people that play them as he views everything from the fans point of view and rates/ranks players based on what they do for the fans, not necessarily what they do for the team and the sport that they play. He openly avoids interviews with players and coaches for reasons that I can't even begin to understand, and he openly will not tolerate any kind of factual compliment of a rival team or its players. For examples of this, see his podcast with Erin Andrews.

I have just gotten to the point where I simply can't take his one-sided view any longer.

I think that he is a decent writer, but as a sports journalist, he is almost completely without merit.
