| The New York Giants have suspended star wide receiver Plaxico Burress for two weeks due to insubordination. Burress will miss only the team's October 5 home game against Seattle as the Giants have bye this weekend. According to a report on FOXSports.com, the Giants are disciplining Burress for failing to show up for work on Monday and not responding to several phone calls by the team to explain his unexcused absence both Monday and Tuesday. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/26868096/

| What a monumental waste of talent.
The team should cut him and sue for repayment of his Signing Bonus.
Not showing up at mandatory meetings? Not responding to phone calls? What kind of High School shtick is that?

And he is throwing it all away by not living up to a multi-million dollar contract that he just signed.
He is wasting the talent that he has, and that he has shown, by not putting himself into a position to use that talent.
Imagine if Fred Taylor did this. Wouldn't you think that he was throwing away what he could contribute to the team?
