| Yeah but you have can too many injuries. And I spent such a high draft pick on "Mr. Consistency" last year in fantasy football.

Yeah but you have can too many injuries. And I spent such a high draft pick on "Mr. Consistency" last year in fantasy football. I actually took Johnson in thr 6th or 7th in one of my fantasy leagues. Luckily when I got up this morning around 7 (to check my fantasy baseball, and my football leagues) I saw an article about Perry and Johnson. I was able to pick Perry up as a FA (Thankfully). I now have Johnson packaged in a trade...hoping someone will bite My suggestion, (if it matters to ya) is to keep Johnson. I am sure he will be picked up by someone. It was reported numerous times he came to camp in the best shape of his career, more muscle, less fat, and knee as good as can be expected. I think he can still be a viable option as a 2 or 3 come mid fantasy season.

| | I'm still surprised the Lions haven't picked up a good veteran RB, I guess they like Smith and whoever else they have. |

Rudi Johnson has signed a one year deal with the Lions.
Tatum Bell has been released.

| sniperhare (8/30/2008) I'm still surprised the Lions haven't picked up a good veteran RB, I guess they like Smith and whoever else they have. Good call, sniperhare. The Lions absolutely needed to improve the depth at RB. I was uncomfortable with Tatum Bell as the # 2 RB. The combination of Rudi Johnson and Marcus Thomas, a rookie 5th Round pick from UTEP who got caught in a numbers game with the San Diego Chargers, improves the Lions RB situation behind Kevin Smith.
