He is of course the one player we can't afford to lose. The good news is if the injury only requires 4-6 weeks, he should be ready for the regular season.

The bad news is the Colts are not always forthcoming when it comes to injuries.

Just look at Marvin Harrison as an example.

Harrison was originally listed with a bruised knee. They said he would only miss a few games. But then he basically ended up being out for the year.. I don't think we still know the entire story over what happened with Marvin's knee.

I can't prove it. But I think the injury was far more severe than they ever reported. And I think he had major surgery.

And that's what worries me as a Colts fan about the Manning situation.

I dearly hope the Colts press release is the truth and this is only a 4-6 week injury.

At the least, he is supposed to miss the preseason.

With the divisional games front-loaded, this could be the inversion year.

What the hell are you talking about?

You actually think a cleanup on his knee will effect when we start to play division rivals week 3? Unless it bursts (like it did with Marvin) this is pretty minor.

btw he already had his knee done and your title says he has not yet.

And most of what makes Manning so dangerous is his mind.

Marvin's knee burst. The sac burst. There was structural damage and as a receiver anytime he ran it hurt badly. He also hurt his other knee.

Manning's was more a clean up, nothing burst.

What happened to Marvin in most cases is not supposed to take as long to recover as it did for him. Either his injury was really that bad and they did not realize it or it kept getting worse because they avoided getting anything done about it.

They did nothing about Marvins knee till the season was over. I actually heard Marvin was upset because they didi not allow him to get surgery right away.

Sorry champ, I don't have clot ESP. It happened Monday, when I read it on the ESPN ticker.

You just said: "You actually think a cleanup on his knee will effect when we start to play division rivals week 3? Unless it bursts (like it did with Marvin) this is pretty minor"

You just answered you own question, didn't you. Hence, "What now"?

Has Manning gone through knee surgery before?

Answer that one.

Again, the division is front loaded, week three with no warm up?

Care to talk football, or are you all pansy douches who want to talk about "wiggle sticks"?

Warm up? What the hell are you talking about.

He will play the Bears and Vikings. Both have better pass rushers than the Jags do.

I know this gets you excited to think Manning will miss regular season time. But, you know he won't.

Has he had a knee problem before? Yes in college. I am not sure if he had surgery though but I think he did.

Typical clot fan "I'm not sure".

Come back when the boys in the cornfield give you an opinion.

cancel the season! The Colts are doomed!!!!

But on a brighter note, we Clots fans have our excuse built in now! Jags will never fully enjoy the division title that they are absolutely ASSURED of now.
