I pretty much smoked on a daily basis from the ages of 15 to about 24. Then I had to grow up and be an adult. I've smoked a few times here and there since then and still love it. However, it affects me much differently now that it did when I was younger.
I had no problems smoking out and enjoying regular activities when I was younger. I'm closing in on 40 and the last time I smoked I was worried the neighbors would smell it and I'd end up in jail. I'd try to watch TV and relax only to find myself up and about, cleaning my house within an inch of its life. I can't relax and do it casually now unless it's in a party environment. Real parties don't happen anymore in your 30s. Now they consist of dressing up and bringing a side dish and discussing politics and gas prices. They bore me to tears. I remember showing up and chipping in for pizza and smoking the place out. Those were the days.
Parties now are about being image-conscious and have little to nothing to do with having actual fun. I miss my 20s.
