| | I kind of wish the hype would stop I've never seen a team so confident...it's a little scary. All we hear is Garrard say "We know this will be a special year" You do? Without playing a game? Ask the Boston Celtics. It takes more than hype. You still have to go win the games.

The Boston Celtics had the best record in the East and will likely make it to the East Finals.
I'd be ecstatic if the Jags had that kind of year.
The Mad Dog (4/27/2008) Division standings wise, (the Jaguars) will be no higher than 3rd place, so you're basically hoping for the 6th seed, if anything. | |

It's fine to have confidence, but you still have to put the work into it. It just worries me that the players act like the AFC championship game is going to be handed to us. If we don't play hard every game, we will be 10-6...maybe a wildcard. Yay. I just think we need to be approaching this thing a little more serious and business like. |

To be fair compairing two sports is a bit unfair. For example, using the Celtics, yeah they may not have won a game on the road yet but they had the best record in the league meaning if they only win all their home games of a best of 7 series, they'll win the NBA championship. Obviously, this can't happen in the NFL. I don't think this team is overly confident. Every team in the NFL is optimistic in late May that they can do big things. This team is pretty much the same team from last year at its core, and they 've been hearing themselves mentioned as potential "Super Bowl contenders" since the '04 season. I think this is just pre-dead zone talk that will quickly go away come mini-camp, re-surge in June, then fade come tc.
My little girl has her teal & black on, how bout your kid?
