| Yea, they'll malfunction. Of course, it may also just be your system. Turn it off and let it cool down every now and then. Also, see if you can purchase one of those lens-cleaning systems that have the disc with brushes attached to the top. There's also just the slim probability that you've got a defective disc.

| | I had Madden 08 for the longest time and it worked perfectly. It lived in the system. I never took it out because I played it so much. I forget when, but it started freezing all of a sudden (this was months ago...I haven't played it since). It specifically froze at one point every time. Every time I would want to advance my franchise through to the third season, it froze right after I hit "simulate offseason." I tried it three times and it froze at that specific point every time. It also froze twice whenever I would go into the training camp activities...as it was loading them. I've played the rest of my games...Madden 07, NBA Live 08, Tiger Woods 07, and haven't had any freezing.

I've had the freezing during franchise mode in Madden a while ago too. So I googled the problem a few months back and discovered that this is a problem that happens to a lot of people and it is a problem with the disc from the manufacturer and unfortunately there is nothing to do about it. It will continue to freeze at random |

My MLB07 The Show has resets in the middle of games. It's annoying.
