Jason taylor is anundersized DE with freakish strength at the point of attack and a terrifick motor.  They went out and got that skill set 11 years younger in the second round of the draft.  i just heard marcellus wiley tlaking about how we should have sold the farm for jason taylor and it just sickens me.  the guy will be retiring soon, maybe even before traning camp if he isn't traded, and you don't mortgage a ten year elite pass rusher for a two year pass rusher.  thats just not good value.

We will all have to make the choice between what is right, and what is easy.

Give freely unto others, be brave in the face of your enemies, love those who hate you for those who hate you will only win if you hate them back, be generous with praise-it costs nothing, love all men, and fear not for he will come.

There will come a day when the courage of good men will fade away and the tyranny of the weak will destroy mankind..., but today does not have to be that day!

remembe this day men, for it is the curse of man that they forget...

The JT trade was a 'sexy' deal for the talking heads to spew over.

The coaching staff made the right decision.

Harvey is about 12-13 years younger than JT.

You know what?....

If the Dolphins still want to trade Jason Taylor, I'd make the trade....

for a 2009 4th rounder +  Brent Hawkins.

This would allow for Harvey + Groves to be brought along slowly & also learn under Taylor.

What a fearsome fiveman rotation that could be:

Hayward/ Harvey/ Taylor/ Spicer/ Groves

....from no pass rush to one that rivals the Giants in amount of quality DE weapons...

I bet you could pull that off.. but there is no way Shack could.

MIA would NEVER go for that.

Then the Dolphins can rot with their 9 MIL per year, 34 y/o player who will be worthless to them by the time Miami is a contender.

At least the 4th rounder + a young DE/ 3-4 OLB could be useful for their rebuilding plans.

got a laugh out of Prisco this afternoon...

everyone calling in about how Kiper and ex-Jag Marcellus Wiley were saying the Jags should have traded their 1st round pick for Taylor instead of moving up for Harvey...

the caller mentioned about how JT was 34 or going to be 34 and may even retire at the end of this season and Prisco said "So, they said they wanted the Jags to trade their first round pick for a guy that old? Who said that? Wiley? Look what happened when the Jags brought HIS OLD BUTT to the team."
