| I see Pittsburgh taking Jonathan Stewart. Then they would have the 1-2 RB punch other teams have. After they lost Parker last year, Davenport wasn't nearly good enough.
Congratulations to the 2008 WORLD Champions, your Philadelphia Phillies!

| The Mad Dog (4/23/2008) I see Pittsburgh taking Jonathan Stewart. Then they would have the 1-2 RB punch other teams have. After they lost Parker last year, Davenport wasn't nearly good enough. It would be a good 1-2 punch but they still need offensive line help. People talk about how weak the Jags pass rush is. Their line couldn't keep our guys off of Roethlisberger.

| | How come Anthony Collins is not included in the Rd 1 selections? Vic Ketchman says he is the 25th best player in the draft, so how can these mellonheads be missing the boat? |

I assume there's a bit of sarcasm involved in your statement. If that's the case I quite agree as I like him but see Collins as a 4th rounder at best. Where would you rate him?

27. San Diego - Jonathan Stewart 28. Dallas - Limas Sweed 29. San Francisco - Gosder Cherilus You would think that the ESPN guys would listen to their own draft guru... Stewart rising againOregon RB Jonathan Stewart saw his stock drop somewhat after undergoing turf toe surgery in mid-March, but he rebounded quickly. Two NFL teams told me this week that he is potentially a top-20 pick at this point. I still think Rashard Mendenhall will be second back taken after Darren McFadden, but Stewart might not be far behind. Teams in the middle of the first round with at least some interest in a running back include Denver (12), Carolina (13), Chicago (14), Detroit (15), Arizona (16), Houston (18) and Dallas (23). Todd McShay is the director of college football scouting for Scouts Inc. He has been evaluating prospects for the NFL draft since 1998. |
