| I really don't think Laws will be there. I would not be shocked if he went in round 1.

| | Depending on who the Jags take in the first, of course, would anyone trade up to get him in the second? I keep seeing the Broncos taking him in the second. I would love to get him too. Would you trade up in the second for him?

I think the JAGS pass on the 1st round all together. Trade down to ATL For the number 6 in the 2nd round and get another fifth on the back end of the draft so here are my picks. and i think my draft proves we can get some Value if we pull the trigger on this kind of a move.
2nd. rd 2 picks
37. Q. Groves DE AUB- I wouldn't draft this guy in the first round. But i think its a value pick here. Coming in as a 2nd round pick he can compete for playing time his first year.
58-A.Collins OT KAN- Could have been a first round pick with another productive season possibly. Is certainly talented enough compete for playing time his first season if Collins is off the board i suspect the JAGS grabbing Duane Brown With a third pick and maybe scooping up a S here.
3rd round 2 picks
71-J.Silva S BC- Another guy that can come in a compete for a staring spot. not a track star but we already have a safety that plays side-line to side-line in Reggie Nelson. So We just need someone to complement Reggie.
89-M.Forte RB TULSA- BAM and like that we replaced L.Toefield could even replace fred down the line.
4th round 2 picks

J D BOOTY USC QB- maybe Dixon if he is still here
5th round 4 picks
D.JOHNSTON DE Garden Webb.

Steve Slaton will be gone by the end of the 3rd or the very beginning of round 4. Don't like Richardson with the 2nd 3rd round pick. That is too high for him. Zbikowski....I don't know about him that high. I hope we go strong safety in round 2 and get Tyrell Johnson if he is still left. Oh yeah, and we don't take a QB in the 4th. We are set at QB.

We may be set at starter for the foreseaable future, but doesn't me we are set period.
Last I checked, Todd Bouman was our 3QB. Hardly a guy who has lit up the league.
I could most certainly live with a scenario where Josh Johnson comes in as the #3, works his way up to back up Garrard by mid 2009, with a view to him taking over the job full time around 2011. |
