Stigma (4/10/2008) Rd 7 pick at best because nobody knows where his head is at. Too bad the Jags don't have a Rd 7 pick to use in this draft. That's being ridiculous, Stigma. It's widely known now what his issues were last season. He didn't simply quit. He got away from football due to legitimate reasons that he has been diagnosed and is in treatment for. He's clearly shown effort and determination to get back into the 270 range and showed good athleticism at the weight he was carrying at his workout. There's no reason, at this point, to expect another season from him like he had last season. He went through some life-changing events. He'll be gone by the middle of the 5th round. Two words...Dimitrius Underwood. There is a HUGE difference between being mentally unstable and suicidle (Underwood) and suffering from depression after the death of your caregiver. Underwood was crazy...and a first rounder to boot. Very true. There is a difference between depression and bipolar disorder. I think that my concern is whether or not his treatment will include anti-depressants and how it would affect his drive, temperment, and work ethic. I certainly would utilize a 5th round selection and hope that he returns to form. Reguardless of whether or not the Jaguars select him I hope that his treatment works.

| I think you will notice many teams steering clear of this one. The issues seem to be much deeper than appear on the surface.
Wish him all the best, but based on information we've seen. No thank you.

| I read an article on him a while back. He had a pretty rough upbringing. Sounds like he is still fighting some demons. Might be worth a look in the later rounds.

| whats so wrong with spending a 4th or 5th on a guy with alot potential to be the next jason taylor, michael strahan, dwight freeney, Etc... What ever happened to the 5th rounder from last year that was spent on Josh Gattis? The jags didnt like what they saw so they let him go same can be done with Tommy Blake, if they see that his medical conditions are too much then just let him go.
Riding the Brian Witherspoon bandwagon. ______________________________________________________________ Titansfan9157 (8/24/2007) VY is already a top 5 QB in this league. He just wins games. And no need for Fred Taylor or MJD we have Chris Henry... he will be better then both of them after this year. Just like Vince Young was last year. BOOK IT. | |

It used to be that starting in the 4th round, teams would take flyers on guys like this...so I've got us picking him in the 4th. I think teams used to get to the 2nd day and put much less emphasis on the value of the pick. Now that the 2nd day starts with the 3rd round, it may skew that line of thought a bit.

I am interested to see how the third round plays out. We could see a ton of trades as better players are sitting there after day one.

| | I'm ok with spending our final fifth round pick (#159 overall) on the guy. Although, what happened again with our sixth round pick. I knew we didn't have a 7th, but according to http://football.about.com/od/nfldraft/a/nfldraftorder.htm, the Jaguars still own their original sixth round pick (#193 overall).

It went to the Vikings in the Troy Williamson trade.
