| | I was looking at the list of QB's on www.nfldraftcountdown.com. Who knows if Bouman or Ricard will be our third QB when the roster is finalized? Do you think we'll take a QB in the draft? If yes, looking at the list of available players, which ones do you think would be good choices...even though these guys may become nothing more than ballcap-wearing clipboard holders? http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/rankings/qb.html The top 5 rated QB's will end up on another team. Probably, the next few as well. Starting with #8, going down the list, which QB's do you like as a possible Day 2 pick? After reading the bios and making comparisons, San Diego State's Kevin O'Connell looks like one of the better prospects from the list. Thoughts?

| If a QB is there in the late rounds that's raw but could develop into a solid No.2 QB the Jags should look at him. Either way, a young QB, drafted or undrafted will be brought in to challenge Lester Ricard for the No.3 job.
I was high on Josh Johnson, but I think he won't be there in the 5th round or later. Some team will reach on him. I don't know if he has the Arm strength to compete in the NFL. I would really like to see them take a look at Ryan 'O Hara or Paul Smith from Tulsa. 'O Hara has the tools to even start in the NFL.

| I like Mike Flynn of LSU in the 5th round maybe. We may not even keep 3 QB's on the active roster again this year, so I doubt we draft one now. Garrard, Lemon, Bouman.....Ricard (practice squad)

| | I would like to see competition for the backup job, as I am not completely sold on Cleo Lemon for the long term. I don't believe Ricard or Bouman is the answer for a number 2/3. A developmental guy in day 2 would be desirable. I like Andre Woodson (great leadership) and Josh Johnson (great decisioning) if available at 3-89. |

| Last year the team only went with two QB's on the active roster, that gives me a clue to what they think about the idea of the third qB. if you have a guy who is a true BAP like a Josh Johnson in the mid rounds who you think could be a real star in this legue with development then i could see them having to take a kid but outside of that 60 million dollars is a heck of a lot of money.
| We will all have to make the choice between what is right, and what is easy. Give freely unto others, be brave in the face of your enemies, love those who hate you for those who hate you will only win if you hate them back, be generous with praise-it costs nothing, love all men, and fear not for he will come. There will come a day when the courage of good men will fade away and the tyranny of the weak will destroy mankind..., but today does not have to be that day! remembe this day men, for it is the curse of man that they forget... | |

I'm pretty sure they are set with Lemon at #2 after the contract he signed. They are not going to pay him $3 mil a year to be inactive and hold a clipboard every game.

| | Of all the QBs that will be taken in the 4th round or later, the one that intrigues me the most is Kevin O'Connell. ideal size. really good arm strength. is a good athlete. put up solid numbers considering he didnt have a running game to support him. even his mechanics look pretty good. maybe address his footwork a little but thats easy. his throwing motion is already pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Hem8WbjvI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftMEiRffEDg&feature=related I think this is the ideal kind of guy to draft on the 2nd day and have as your 3rd QB. and slowly develop him over time like we did with Garrard. he has all the physical tools youd want in a QB.

| According to the interview 1010xl did with June Jones a few days ago, Jacksonville has had 2 or 3 conversations with Colt Brennan. He's projected around the 3rd - 5th rounds right now...I'm not sure I would love this option, but if it is a 4th or 5th round pick, why not?
